One Voice Against Crime


Is an idea birthed with Pete Guthrie vocalist for SA band SpoonFeedas and is now a project in reality partnered by SpoonFeedas (Pete Guthrie) The CIC (Brian Jones), and Business Against Crime(Kelvin Glen). The following key functions are targeted in the campaign:

  1. A motivating public voice for SA to stand together against crime.
  2. Facilitation and field response to crime and emergency scenes.
  3. A powerful network, giving community and businesses updates to combat crime.
  4. The raising of funds to develop information facilities and crime scene response
  5. The reduction of crime in SA communities

SPOONFEEDAS - (PETE GUTHRIE)
SpoonFeedas vocalist Pete Guthrie and SpoonFeedas are the public representation and voice for One Voice Against Crime. Guthrie recently made front page news, including local and international radio and television appearances through his performance of the SA National Anthem at the Tri nations with coverage of the One Voice campaign. After the violent multiple stabbing of band bassist Colin Browne, and a family Hijacking Guthrie decided to take his place in the fight against crime in SA by using his gifting. A series of One Voice Against Crime concerts are being planned across SA, with the purpose of uniting the country positively in action and linking SA to the field response and information network of the CIC.


THE CIC - (BRIAN JONES)
The CIC (Community Information Service) team will be the engine room for One Voice Against Crime. The. CIC is lead by Brian Jones who worked for years with the SAPS and private security firms in operations and investigations. The CIC team currently fights crime in SA communities through direct response at crime scenes, reinforcement and facilitation of private policing,SAPS and emergency services. Many of our communities have first hand experience of the efficient aid from the CIC team at emergency scenes.The valuable information gathered through intelligence and case histories is provided free to One Voice Against Crime subscribers through SMS’s and emails. BUSINESS AGAINST CRIME (Kelvin Glen)
Is a public benefit organisation which was established in 1996 as a response to a call from Nelson Mandela to the private and business sector to help SA in the fight against crime. With many successes and a history of integrity, BAC is the organization to which the One Voice Against Crime campaign is accountable.
