Spoonfeedas are a four piece melodic rock band from South Africa with a story to tell.
The band made it’s start with “King With A Crown” a track which won airplay from the 5FM Showcase Unearthed compilation in 2001.
From there they found themselves in a small studio near Durban where they recorded their first CD. Spoonfeedas have since released two albums and developed a strong country- wide following through extensive touring across SA. Having played together for five years, music has been their full time passion for the past 2 years.
In their time together they have produced no fewer than ten charting singles on South African national and regional radio stations, including 4 top 10’s and a number one on 5FM. Apart from their radio success, the band also delivers an explosive live show while taking audiences on a journey which is emotional and exhilarating! The passion of SpoonFeedas’ music extends to many, of different age and culture. The result is a band that is placed at the top of South African rock music. Spoonfeedas strongly believe in connecting with audiences - “Surely a performance should reach people and challenge them and so importantly, be entertaining at the same time!”
Spoonfeedas has produced two albums so far, True North and Falling Higher have both produced several hits. There are two new singles from the album Falling Higher currently on rotation:Is it Me? And So I Wait.
Sponsored by Yamaha, they all play Yamaha instruments and have a fantastic Yamaha sound rig which they use for touring and to hold events. It is suitable for playing to crowds of up to 1500 people with clout!
